I see I didn't update on here. I decided not to get those Lavendars right now. The fella called me and said he had another buyer and was I still coming.. I saw my chance and escaped! Glad it worked out.

FOR NOW.. I just didn't want to terrorize my old girls or silkie chicks with a rooster, and as it turns out, he wasn't being completely honest with me. When I asked him just how mean he was.. he said 'well, he got me pretty good'.

SO... I now have 7 two week old Production Red chicks, one of whom is a rooster..so everyone can grow up slowly and get used to each other. Doesn't help on EGGS right now.. but just thought this would be better.. Besides....

When I DO get ready for the Lavendars.. I can get them from a reputable person on here!

Hi I got this pretty Lavender Orp about 3 weeks ago from a feed store. I was told it was going to grow up to be a hen. Well I'm new at ths but she looks so different than my other girls that I decided to post her pictures on this forum. So far I got mixed answeres. She is 5 weeks old now. What do you think?

Look at this picture of pullets, maybe just maybe it is a girl after all. She shows non aggressive behavior at all. On the contrary, she is one of the sweetes chicks I have.
