Lavender Orpington project ....

LOL...You and I are quite aware of why you won't share his name with me.....and it has nothing to do with me wanting birds from him. Why don't you let him know I'd appreciate a pm from him.....if I don't get one I guess I'll have discovered another truth about you Bill.

I think my original question was a very legit question....How can you call a bird with barring a self blue? That isn't what the APA standard says a self-color is.

you call him what you want. As always you want to make a thread all about me and my birds. I promise you, that I will be showing his offspring, and once he is taken back to his daughters this will then be answered.

Well then I'll call him a mutt

I am far from trying to make the thread about you and your birds.....far from it in fact. I asked a legit question and once again you were evasive in your answers.....oh and Im still waiting on my pm from the "mystery man".

First off, you caught me off guard. You have repeatedly told me, you have fed and watered chickens for longer then I have lived. To be honest if you are wanting a genetics lesson, I don't feel qualitfied. But I am sure there are those here who are well qualified to answer your question. But I do enjoy all the attention you and your friends bring with these posts. My photobucket always seems to be a 100 views or higher when I get this duelly deserved attention. lololol
I must be doing something right, cause there are plenty of mutts on this site, it just little ole me who you dare to post about. Like how I was ruining my entire flock of 90 plus purebred Orps by having one mixed breed bird on my property.

Lets just breed him to one variety off everything I have and then take the daughters back to this cockerel and we will know what he is about.

But, there are many posts and threads for those who do not post but read these threads to go thru in my history. I suggest for many to go thru and see how kind Katy is to me.

Maybe someday the Lavender Orps will make it into the SOP......

Bill I'm not 50 yet.

They will make it into the Sop one day, because that color on a orp is freaking hot amongst old and new poultry fancers..no doubt about that :-]
We are so glad to have been a big influence in it in the USA

From what a guy who just opened his UK website told me, the Chocs, Blue Red Laced, Lemon Cuckoo, Jubilee and Lavs was what he had the most interest in. He said his site generate 155K in the first 3 days. And I don't want any. Was offered and said I have enough going on. lolololol

First, I never said that one mixed bird on your property was ruining your flock....I believe if I recall I said your breeding of other breeds willy nilly into some of your orps was likely to ruin the nice birds you got from other breeders.

It remains to be seen if you're doing anything right with your birds.
