American lavenders can be as little at 8-12 buck per chick. English can be up to $50 from what I've seen. I paid $300 for my English rooster.Yay!!!! I love Lavender Orpingtons!!! I really want to get one but we have to many chickens. Does anyone know how much they cost?

Quote: As chicks I can't tell the difference. The English are normally much larger but mature much slower. If you have a nice English rooster you'll know. They are very round and "beach ball" looking.

You are very welcome. Notice though on my English he does not have very dark legs. He should have dark legs. I bought him as an "unknown" and I believe he may have cuckoo somewhere in him but he always throws solid kids.
