American lavenders can be as little at 8-12 buck per chick. English can be up to $50 from what I've seen. I paid $300 for my English rooster.

Wow, I didn't know this. Gees... I have eggs in the bator now. Some were advertised as English and the others just said Lavender Orpington. Will I be able to tell the difference?
