Lavender orpington

I recently got a lavender orpington. Previous owner says it's a 5 month old rooster. Have had him a couple of days no crowing. Just want to see if she was right

Hmm, it really looks like a hen to me, at 5 months, the comb and wattles would be bigger for a boy, could you get a better picture of the area where the tail connects to the body? if the feathers are longish and pointy, make, if short and round, female.
I'm guessing girl.

He likely won’t crow until he’s settled in.

But some cockerels take longer to crow than 5 months, and I’ve had cocks that barely ever crow too.

I believe I do see some pointed saddle feathers which would indicate it is in fact a cockerel.

Definitely a cockerel. Looks exactly like my roo did. Plus he’s got stringy saddle feathers.
