Lavender Orpingtons - Are these roosters?

Thanks! The bachelor pad idea would probably be one we could figure out. My 13-year-old daughter is our family chicken whisperer and she loves them like pets. Some of them fight but maybe not if the hens were around?

If they are seperated from the hens, they most likely will not fight past pecking order squabbles. A bachelor pad should have enough space for all of them. They probably need a bit more. It does not need nest boxes but otherwise a bachelor coop is the same. You could even pick the best tempered roo to live with the main flock.

Yes, rooster aggression goes down when they are not in contact with hens. My roosters that live in a bachelor pad actually fight less than hens do! They make a clear pecking order (unlike hens), and after that there is not a lot of fighting between them. I can't recommend bachelor pads enough, they have worked very well for me and my roosters.
