The chick on the right is probably a cockerel - his comb and wattles are a lot bigger and darker than the other chick's. I'm pretty sure that you're correct, they look like lavender orpingtons to me.

I have two as well, one of each. 2.5 months old but my cockerel started growing in his waddle/combs at 6 weeks.

You have a pair. They are Lavender Orpingtons like the thread title says. Their color is indeed lavender, not blue and I'm seeing no reason for the breed to be questioned
