Ok I have a really nice frizzled lavender Orpington rooster in my grow out pen right now and I’m trying to decide on hens for him. He’ll be a part of a clean-legged frizzled rainbow egg layer project. I’m thinking I’ll cross him to welsummer, cream Legbar, Ameraucana, and possibly polish. BUT I’d also like to get a few more frizzled orps out of him I’m really just wondering what the result would be if I put a chocolate or mauve hen into his pen? Thnx!!

You'll average about half being frizzled.
With the chocolate hen all will be black. All will carry a gene for lavender. Cockerels will carry a gene for chocolate. Pullets will not.
With the mauve hen you'll average about half being black and the other half being blue. All will carry a lavender gene.
Cockerels will carry a chocolate gene. Pullets will not.
