I’ve not worked with lavender, but from my understanding the feather issue generally only becomes an issue after multiple generations of pure lavenders, due to some gene linkage of lavender and the ‘feather shred’ gene…I wasn’t sure if it created a feather shredding issue not sure if thats a thing but thank you for your help!
The solution is to cross the lavenders back to black every so many generations. So, you’d be working in the right direction to avoid the feather issue with your Olive egger mixes.
The only way I see lavender being an issue for you, would be if you were crossing blue and lavender Ameraucanas and selling them as pure ameraucanas.
