Lavender vs.Slate Buttons

Are Lavendar and Slate chicks different in appearance when first hatched? Also, how can Splash be identified as a chick? TIA!

Am I right in thinking lavender is silver and cinnamon combined? In that case, they should be lighter in color than slate chicks. Slates also have dark feet as chicks, a silver cinnamon shouldn't.

I’m still learning about their colors. Maybe you’re right. I’ll get a pic of my baby that I thought was a silver cinnamon. I’ll take all the help I can get, lol. I wasn’t aware of the slates having dark feet, good to know.

Yeah, that's.. A though one The one on top is a blueface! The other one is just odd It seems a little dark for a silver cinnamon taking into consideration that cinnamon is meant to make the bird lighter, but the strange patches of uneven color seems to fit a sub-adult cinnamon great. I suppose it could be silver blueface cinnamon, with the blueface accounting for the dark color? But I'd probably wait a few weeks and see what the final color is going to look like.
