Lawn fertilizer

I have 6 eight week old RIR's that I keep in an enclosed coop and run. The coop is in my fenced in back yard and when I'm back there, which is quite often, I let them free range around the yard and garden.

If I apply lawn fertilizer should I wait a few days before letting them back out?

Same thing with Grub-ex grub killer, If I apply how long should I wait to let the girls free range in the yard.

I always wait a minimum of 2 weeks, and make sure to water several times to help ensure the grass blades are free of chemicals.
