Lawn Mushrooms

With this rain my chicken yard is sprouting all kinds of mushroom. I try and get them when I see them but the chickens have pecked a few out of ground. They pop up so fast out of nowhere too. It seems the chickens don't like them but I am afraid they will eat one type or another. My mushroom book says to avoid all little brown mushrooms (LBMs) as most are poisonous. Anybody have chickens eat mushrooms and die?

I have them as well my chickens don't eat them. They no what to eat & not eat I guess.

My chickens have pecked at poisonous (to humans at least) green-spored lepiotas. It concerns me, but I don't know if they are poisonous to chickens or if they are actually eating them. But my chickens all appear healthy.

So, I don't really know.


And, you're right, most LBMs are best avoided.
