Laws for selling eggs in Ca

I end up with about 2-3dozen leftover every week. I would like to sell them to neighbors. Enough for it to pay itself. What laws and regs do I need to follow?

I was able to call the county extension agent in Ohio to get information. You can likely do the same in CA. They should be able to point you to the right resources.

in Ohio I can sell from my doorstep to anyone, no difficult restrictions. But selling beyond that (like grocery store, farmers market, or restaurant) requires more oversight and restrictions, with very defined rules.

There is no city of California... I would not worry about it, sell your eggs to your neighbors once you have 2-3 people they will keep buying them. Charge at least $6 a dozen, I could get $8 where I am in CA

In the state of California, there is a city called California City down south in Kern County.
