laws on selling eggs in ct

You can contact Dr. Michael Darre at UCONN for more information, but this is what little I know:

If you sell in stores, you need to have an inspection. Otherwise, it is fine to sell eggs.
If you reuse egg cartons, you MUST cross off anything that says USDA on the carton as well as the plant number and sell by date in black marker. If you don't know the Grade of the eggs, cross out "Grade _."

Hello everyone,
Very interesting information.
Just curious about that. So, does it mean in CT is legal eggs selling without any inspection as long as it is directly to the consumer?

This is information from 9 years ago. A lot can change in that period of time. I would recommend calling the number listed or posting on the Connecticut state thread.
