Our child was half-squatting/standing, then she layed the liquid part - white and yoke only, no sign of a shell. Then I assume she had a prolapse, which did go back in.
Is this a shell less egg or something different? Is it possible that the egg broke and part is still inside her? Should I take her to the vet?

This morning, she seems to be acting normal again.

Shes only been laying for a week, we have had 4 good eggs before this.

(She is a regular sized cochin, who is well cared for and weel fed.)

Is sound like a shell less egg. In new layers it is commen to have funky eggs till there plumbing get worked out. I would just keep an eye on her just in case.

not an uncommon occurance...do make sure she is getting enough calcium...can supplement with oyster shell
