Layena Causing Egg Laying Problems

Assuming improper nutrition at a young age is the problem, what is now the solution? I'm just concerned that the eggs are all too often too big for these bantams to be laying.

Take a look at the science. There is a clear link between linoleic acid, methionine and increased egg size. It's no coincidence that the feed companies add to the formula. My advice would be to check the labels on the feed and find one that doesn't contain either of these additives.

I've just had a quick look at some of the labels and it seems that the going rate of methionine is 0.35% . The organic ones have a lower rate at 0.25% . As for linoleic acid that will come under ' omega 6.
I agree with the post above , 'everything in moderation '.
