~ LAYER CRUMBLES vs CHICKEN SCRATCH ~

WELL Im going with your advice and going back to the starter feed... My local feed store suggested layer crumbles, Ill wait on that till there ready to start laying!! Thanks

Just to be clear.

The "form" or "shape" of the feed comes in: pellets, crumbles, mash, etc.. is irrelevant.

You can feed your chicks any "shape", that is unimportant. What is important is WHAT feed it is. Yes, to the Starter/Grower/Finisher/Developer/Raiser. Any of those types of feed will work just fine. But layer feed, regardless of whether it is a crumble/pellet/or mash is Layer Feed, for birds busy laying eggs, thus needing the added calcium they grind right into the feed.
