Layer pellets

My pullets just started laying at 20 weeks. I have about 20 Lb. of finisher grower feed left. Is it ok to finish the bag before going to a layer feed?

Yes, just be sure and offer Oyster Shells - in a bowl, free choice, do not mix it with the feed.


Oyster shells are important so that the chicken's body is not stealing calcium from their bones to create hard egg shells.

U can mix it half & half so ur hens will get used to the pellets quicker. Then go to straight pellets.
