Layers not Laying

i purchased 2 layers from a seller , i received 1 egg the day of purchase and since then they have not laid , any reasons as to why they might not be laying?

How long have you had the chickens? It can take chickens awhile to adjust to a new home and lay again. The egg laid on the first day you had them had already been formed before you brought them to their new home (eggs take just over 1 day to produce).

I have had them for a little over a week now, they are full grown hens. Could there be something i could do to make them more comfortable?

They are Red Sexlink Hens

1-2 weeks to resume laying after stress (i.e. moving to a new home) would be normal, but other factors such as heat can worsen or extend that.
