I'm going to import some layers, been online looking at different breeds. Campbells, Gold 300, or white layers which is the best. All the sellers on the internet make their claims, but I'd love to hear what the BYC-D people that are doing it have to say. Not just which breed lays the most and biggest but also temperment, mothering, FCR, etc.

Since our Gov. makes bring in live animals some where between a pain in the a-- and an act of God, I'm going to try to get fertilized eggs in and then bate them. I've looked at all the big sellers on the net and there prices. From your experiance which is the best company to buy from.

Also, I'll be getting pekins as a multi-p duck.

One of my brothers suggested he could try to bring them down as service animals. Our customes dept. will fall for alot, but not even they would fall for a seeing eye duck.

Not bring them into the US, bringing them out. Different rules down here. I can get Mom to do it with eggs not live animals. She comes in and out of the country so much everyone at airport imigration and customes know her. She can be the nicest old lady, when she wants to be. If they did bust her with eggs she'd give them, a "I didnt know" routine. It's happened before. They would never arrest/fine her, just take the eggs.

But more important back to the real questions, which is the best breed and where is the best place to buy them? Ignore the fact that I may use my own mother as a smuggling mule. Don't worry she loves doing it, she feels like double O old lady.
