Hi all! Our little leghorn just laid her first egg at week 17! I know it was her, because she is constantly showing me the "submissive squat" and the egg is white. The rest will lay brown/tinted. Is this normal, seems a bit early? I switched to layer feed this week.
Thanks in advance! I am really happy and proud! :wee

Yup totally fine. Some start earlier than others and some are late. In my experience the heavier producers and smaller birds lay earlier than larger breeds that mature more slowly.

Hatchery/production leghorn are bred for early maturation and production, so, yes, your girl is very much normal

Awesome, thank you all so very much! Yes, it definitely does feel like Christmas lol
