I have 4 females who are a yr old. I've been getting about 2 eggs per day for the last few weeks. Then suddenly, no eggs the past 2 days prior to today. When I went out to feed them today, I found a small fart egg next to their pool. It was about the size of a ping pong ball. No yolk. Still no eggs other than the fart egg.

Is this normal laying behavior? Should I be concerned?

I guess that's what I'm asking. With chickens, they typically lay an egg every 1-2 days when they are in their first laying year. As they age, they lay less often. I don't know what is "normal" for ducks. When I purchased these ducks, the breeder said they were about 5 months old. He indicated they should start laying any time....but they didn't. They didn't start laying until about a month ago. I just found it odd that they would start so late and then suddenly stop laying after a month. That being said....I did get 2 eggs today after a 3 day break with no eggs.

I'm just not sure what is a normal cycle for ducks....that's what I'm asking.
