Laying cycles

This has probably been ask before but I hear people talking about laying cycles.How long do most cycles last and how long of breaks do they usually take.I have eight hens that have not laid an egg for over a month.The are all hens in their 2nd season .they went through a molt but have not started back laying.Any answers will help.Thanks

I really don't know the answer to this. It seems like when one takes time off it is about 6 weeks.

We have been having colder than normal temps all month and that has thrown mine off. I have 20 hens and for the past 3 days I have gotten a total of 7 eggs.

When it started getting really hot, my 10 hens went from 7 to 10 eggs a day, to 4 or 5. More recently when the temps started dropping I have been getting only 0 - 3! This is BAAAAAD!

Now they are molting! I am afraid pretty soon I will have to buy eggs instead of sell them!
