I have a couple of 20 week old first time layers laying in the run. Will they eventually go in the hen house to the nest boxes?

Mine did that a few times in the coop, we put fake eggs in the boxes and showed the girls by putting each hen in one of the boxes. It finally worked for us.

Yes ,, but some eggs in the nest and she will ( by the time ) lay in the nest ,

I have 4 nice nest with a wooden egg in each one of them. I found another egg in the run today but it was a different color than the other 2 eggs that i found. Hopefully they will want to get in those nest. I will have to show them where their nest are i guess.

My BO laid her first egg under my apple tree. She kept going back and forth to the coop (and more vocal), so I knew she was going to lay that day. I guess she just couldn't make it. The next day she laid in the coop, but on the floor. Then she adjusted and started laying in the boxes.
