about how long until my chickens lay eggs?

My Golden Comets (bought as day old chicks March 30) started to lay at 16.5 weeks.
My Barred Rocks (bought as day old chicks August 16) started to lay first week of January, at 20 weeks old. All 7 Rocks were laying by 23 weeks. All 5 Comets by 19 weeks. GC

Welcome. My Golden Comets are 44 months old and my Barred Rocks are 16 months. GC
Correction; my Comets are 45 months old today. Wow this month is flying by.

Am in Miami and two of my three Buff Orpington’s took 8 months to lay. The other one started laying at 22 weeks.
In other words, they will lay when they lay.

I have a Delaware and it took her 8 months.
