Laying hen now a roo???!!!

Are you sure on the breeds? Not all white chickens lay white eggs and not all colored chickens lay brown. There are several white chickens that lay brown eggs so don't be fooled by the white chicken lays white eggs story. What color are the ears on the chicken? That is the best indicator of the color of the eggs with a few exceptions.
Possible you have a depressed chicken or you gave away your hens by accident

and now have a pretty white depressed Rooster

Ok, here are the pictures of my chickens. I'm starting to think maybe I did give away the laying hen. I did find 2 eggs just now. Both very light brown. I thought they were white until I picked them up and looked in the light.

Ok, I think I figured out the pictures this time.

I'm not figuring out how to get the pictures in the post. If you click on the link, it will show you the pictures. I will play with it a little more later.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I really appreciate it.

#2 white leghorn pullet/hen - there are no pointed sickle feathers

#3 that is not a rhode island red -- in pic #3, you have a white leghorn pullet & an easter egger pullet - same as the one in my pic with my leghorn. The easter egger should lay colored eggs (my 3 lay green & bluish green), but could lay brown. It has a "pea comb", which will stay small - leghorns have "straight combs".

I'm not sure about #1 - maybe a brown leghorn or OEG - I've never owned either of those breeds. It looks small - is it a lot smaller than the others. What type of comb does it have - is it a pea comb like your easter egger (EE) or is it a straight comb.
If it does have a pea comb, it could be another EE - they come in different colors.

#1 is NOT a brown leghorn..leghorns always have yellow legs.
#2 is a white leghorn pullet
#3 is an EE and leghorn in the picture.

could have been all 3 of the ones you gave away were girls just getting ready to lay....
my white leg horn looks like a rooster to anyone who doesn't know chickens... mu hubby was convinced she was a rooster because she had a large red comb and wattles..
until she started laying he still wasn't sure i was right.. lol...
i used to say until it crows i don't know it's a roo.. and now after reading a bit, and hearing that sometimes girls crow, i'm going to say until it dies, it is an it until it lays an egg.. lol... then it's a she.. if it never lays an egg it's just a pain in my butt.. lol

to have the pics show up in the post, you put

Not true. My solid white Cornish Rock hens, Maude & Ethel, laid light brown eggs. See Ethel's red earlobes... https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/uploads/10133_img_6826.jpg

Yes, I agree. I have an apparent RIR but with white ear lobes - her mother did, too - and they both lay light brown eggs. I guess it's a matter of 'exception proves the rule'.

True RIR do not have white ears always red there is not an exception to that rule.Penesedenca(hope I came close on the spelling) is one of the brown egg laying white ear chickens but there are a few others as well...now it could be a red leghorn if it has yellow legs deep red body and white ears.Mine lay a tinted white looks white until you put it beside a chalk white then you can see a light tan shade to it.
