Do hen's get quieter with laying as they get older and more used to laying?

And another question, refrigerated or not?
Dh gave his mom 2 of our first 7 eggs and he pulled them out of the fridge and she was upset that they were in there, she said they can go 3 week out which from my understand is not true that by 3 weeks they would be spoiled? Not sure what to think, what do you all think
and she said they were small, but she got the 3rd egg(my spotted one) from cookie, and the second of my other layer (I think vanilla, which came this morning) but they always start small yes?

I rinsed them not alot but they were supper clean, because of my young chicks that hang in the nesting boxes and make them dirty in a second.

My are two years old and they never hush they are just happy. Refrigerated them after you have cleaned them, if you hatch do not clean them and leave them out. When you put an egg in a big bowl of water and if it floats toss it, if not its fine. If they are young hens and have just started to lay then that is normal.

what do you mean if i hatch? we don't have a roosted so none are fertile at all, so that mean i shouldn't leave them out?
And i do know about how to test with the float not float ect, thank you for reminding me

I do not hatch...just eat, so all eggs are refrigerated.
I also do not wash at all until they are ready to be used and everyone who gets my eggs knows to wash before cracking. I prefer to leave the bloom to keep fresh and prevent other smelly things in the fridge from getting into the egg.

I tried the leave them on the counter thing- now I live in the south and it was summer, and we did not eat them fast enough. I found when I got to the bottom of the basket I did not like the looks of the eggs, so the go in the refrigerator. I think it doesn't hurt to leave them out if you eat them fast enough.

Here is a pretty good article on storing eggs. If I wash mine, I put them in the fridge. If I don't wash mine, they stay on the kitchen counter. In the summer, when the temperature in the kitchen is over 75 degrees Fahrenheit, I refrigerate. A fertile egg may develop a bit when it is stored above 75 degrees.

I think what the person mentioning hatching eggs was saying is that you should not wash the eggs you plan to hatch. The bloom needs to stay intact to help minimize the chance of spoilage during incubation.

Thank you thank you so so much for all the help.
The article was great help thank you so much.
And from what i read we will be keeping our egg in the fridge, because well i live in AZ and the temp even inside can be above 75 at least half the year it not 3/4 so better safe
