hi guys im new to this forum. i was hopeing some could share some tips on how to speed a hen up inn to laying. thanks uk cocker

Do you mean how to get a hen to lay more eggs or how to get a hen to start laying sooner? Either way the answer is essentially just to keep them in good health and get a breed that matches your needs.

And adding artificial light if you aren't getting enough yet but that's more of a winter thing.

How old are your hens/pullets? Usually they won't lay until they are 5 or 6 months old, and if it's still cold in your area it may take longer Mine will pretty much stop laying, except for a few die hards, duing the winter months. But, as soon as they have more daylight they pick up again. Also, do you have a light on in the coop? In the winter months our daylight hours decrease down to about 8 hours a day (8 AM to 4 PM) so I have a light on a timer in the coop. It turns on about 6:00 in the AM until 8:00, then again in the PM about 3:00 till about 6:00. This seems to help a little as well.
 
hi guys thanks for the replys. i should post more info there american games about 14 months one started to lay and stop. there starting drop around the vent so think there pretty close i was just wanting now best to get laying asap and bet way keep they laying once they start. i try upload some pics when get chance. thanks for help guys
