Laying in ivy

She had been laying in the boxes just fine until a couple days ago. Golf balls have been in the boxes since they started laying
Would i keep all of my chickens in the coop while “retraining” my americauna??

Yes, generally it's an all or none approach cause letting some out while keeping some in will exclude the "out" birds from the nest boxes, and the safety that the coop/run offers. Agreed with JB. Clipping wings may be necessary. Naughty girls need to be kept out of trouble.

Beautiful Easter Egger. They are very athletic birds, capable of clearing very tall fences with ease. Wing clipping is a must if you want to keep them from jumping fences.
Oh, and i bought her as an “Americauna” but I’ve read they are usually Easter eggers. I’m ok with it, i just love her

one. It makes them unbalanced in flight, which discourages them from flying the fence.
Clipping a wing won’t hinder their ability much to access the roosting bars right? We have a tray with an edge under the roosts so she could jump to that then the roost if she couldn’t do it in one jump.
