Last week, In preparation for integrating my 4- 1 year old layers to the three -7 week old chicks I switched from a layer pellet to a grower crumble and free choice oyster shells. Since then egg production had dropped from 3-4 each day down to 2\day. Thoughts? Food label pictured.

I have my almost-1-year-olds on grower with oyster on the side, and they miss one day per month so far. Maybe your hens are naturally slowing down? Or they have to get used to finding the oyster shell?

They are just under 1 yr so I wouldn't think they are slowing yet. The oyster shells have been available for many weeks. I know they've been using them. 🤷

Chickens don't like change. Might seem insignificant, but maybe a simple change in feed was enough to throw off laying a bit. If so, they should revert back to their usual behavior after a week or two.
