Laying Time

My coturnix just started laying. Got one egg on 5/31 and two yesterday. Both were in late afternoon. What time of day do your quail lay?

My coturnix lay at 2 P.M. and 5 P.M. and 8 P.M.

my one layer tends to favor around 3:30 4 ish lol

Mine just started laying this week too! It is pretty awesome. They definitely don't lay in the morning. So I come home to the little treats late in the evening.

Someone down the street was tossing out an old chicken coop. I put some doors on it and got some more quail. Now I am up to 28. They seem to lay in the afternoon as well.

Mine used to lay at about 10 p.m. or early in the morning, now they lay late in the evening.
