Hello everyone, this is my silkie, lazarus and he is 6 months old.(altho because i only have 1 silkie, im not sure if he is a rooster or a hen)
When he was 2-3 weeks old, one of my male phoenixes jumped into the brooder and pecked him on the head, i found him flat on the ground, looked just like dead... my mom suggested to "release" him because he was suffering...but i wouldnt give up on him just like that...
i put him in a small cage inside the house, (forced)hand feed/water him for 3 days, the next day he had power to move his head, altho he was flat to the ground with the belly on the air, he had the courage to start pecking at the seeds of my hand, that gave me courage to be more hopefull about his health.
10 days later he stood up, but with a problem, his head was sideways and he was falling all the time, the left eye was touching the ground and was always dusty buy the food...
i cleaned his eye 2-3 times a day with eyedrops, 20 days later he was good as new...
Here he is now, healthier than ever(wainting to grow a little more to take revenge on the phoenixes by stealing their girls)
That bird showed me that even from the "grave" some birds with the right amount of care, can come back and live a normal chicken life.
