Cliantha dropped to the ground. She glided into the wood and extracted a bow and a quiver full of arrows from a hollow tree. She moved silently through the trees, watching for game.
 
The rabbit's whiskers twitched. Its eyes were large, dark and fearful. And it didn't even see the arrow. Blood soaked the brown fur. Cliantha picked it up and dropped it in her game bag. She'd send it to the kitchens along with any other games. They kept her secret.
 
Diana paused. Who to tell first? And how? Throw it out there? Swear them to secrecy? Dangle it before them and make them beg to know? Well, she'd settle on the who and figure out the how later. Oh! Luce. Perfect. She made her way to Cliantha's chambers, knowing Luce would be there. She waited by the door.
 
Luce went about her usual morning work, cleaning Cliantha's room, beating the rug, remade her bed (but she skipped that part, so it would look like Cliantha was still there.), and so forth. She french braided her ankle long, red-ish brown hair, allowing it to reach just past her knees. She had never cut her hair in her life, so it had grown incredibly long, and was wavy-curly. She put on a head band too, to keep the smaller strands of hair out of her face, then went back to work.
