Lazy babies!

my Cornish X Rock babies are a week old, and are parking their little bums in front of the feeder and just settin' there. Should I be withholding food yet?

I usually mix 3 table spoons of regular white sugar in there water. Mix less as they get older. Most meat birds do that for a while.

What the heck does sugar water have anything to do with the question??

I stopped free feeding mine at 3 weeks, yes they WILL park their butts in front of and in the feeder if allowed. At the 3 weeks I went to 12 on 12 off feeding.
