Lazy Chickens??????? *Please Help!*

Hi everyone,
we got 2 brand new chickens a couple of weeks ago and they live in a small coop with total access to a large run. The problem is that they dont seem to really move around, scratch or peck very much. We dont think they are sick. What could be wrong with them?????????????????
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Do you know how old they are. Could they be stressed?

What kind of chickens did you get - they're not meatbirds are they?

One is a silkie and the other is a polish. They are only about 10 months old. They are still pullets.

It could be that they didn't have this type of environment in their previous living arrangement. Throw down some scratch or put out food for them that they have to find. That'll start them going!
