Lazy Hen?

Hi everyone,

For over a month now one of my BSL have pretty much been living in the nest box. The only time i see her come out is when I let them free range. Her comb also seems to have shrunk in size and she seems like she has lost weight. She does not act protective at all over the eggs that are under her, and when I remove her from the box and place her on the ground she lyes right down where I put her and starts picking the straw up with her beak and tossing it around her and on her back. Broody?

Any suggestions?

i had that egg-zact (lol) same thing and yes my hen went broody after that! looks like you have a mommy!!!! do you have a rooster? best of luck!!

Haha. I didn't think a SL would go broody. But no, i have no roosters. I guess I'll just let her be?
