I am a Ship Captain, recently retired and I also build custom fishing rods and have been busy improving our urban homestead and taking care of our five cats. ! Great to have you aboard! Sounds like you and Debby lead an interesting life. We share some of the same hobbies. What do you mean by chicken tunnels?
Best of luck to you and your flock!

Hi Cap, it's nice to have you here! Tell your wife for me she has a lovely name (coincidently it's the same as mine, spelling-wise too)

I always thought the tunnels were an excellent way of getting the chickens some protected outdoor time plus keep them out of the garden.

Good luck with all your plans and thanks for joining us!

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock when they arrive, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
