Two of my girls have decided to not lay for three days so far. They have been laying well for about six to eight weeks, and then the last three days NOTHING! I've looked around to see if they've found a second nesting place, but no.They are healthy and happy. Their other sister pullet is still giving me an egg a day. The funny thing is that the weather has been pretty nice lately! So how long should I wait them out?

My Pekin used to lay an egg everyday, until my mallard mix started laying. Now my pekin will only lay jelly eggs with the tube attached. 1 or 2 times a month my pekin will actually lay a fully formed egg. Now, i introduced a new mallard mix to them, and she started laying, so now my other mallard mix stopped. They take turns. It seems if they figure one is laying, they dont have to, or are jelous, i dont know. It seems totally psychological to me. My Muscovie hens are seperated from my other breeds, so they lay no matter what....well...one of the 2 are... so, let me know if yours continue to do the same. I might need little nesting boxes for them or something... my new mallard mix is now breaking my other ducks eggs...
