Please help I have a baby chick that was normal and was a sitter for an older chick that was injured by a dog. She was walking normal and eating normal then she started limping and holding her right leg up. Within the last 2 days her appetite has deminished. She will eat a little bread soaked in egg white and mango then she will sleep. I was holding her petting her and she loves it so I thought she wants to be a pet. I was advised to put her in a box and put a peg in it for her to grasp to roost on and it will strengthen her legs. She is roosting better and not falling to the right but still not eating much and sleeps a lot. I also am putting minerals in her food and water. What else can I do. She also has a pox on her been from a mosquito bite. Would this contribute to the problem?
Please help!

If it was mareks disease wouldn't the chicken that she was with and other chickens in her pin who gave her to me wouldn't they be showing signs of the same thing and my older chickens also? How long does it take for the disease to spread?

Nevermind. you are right, and marek spreads fast and easily if keept together. And its a horrible disease.

Thanks anyway
