I have a mixed breed flock... and I have 5 of the 16 that are polish.. anyway.. the white crested blacks sleep more than the others and the one golden laced that I have sleeps too but she layes on her side with her feet spread out in front of her with her head like she is laying on a pillow. They are so funny..
I would love to see the one sleeping on her side. How funny! I have 13 chickens (6 weeks) and 1 is a polish. She's so different from the others. She has always hung back and been shy. Her feather poof is just coming in so it doesn't cover her eyes so that isn't part of it. Her name is Mr. Clucky McFloofyhead.
I hear Polish chickens are very friendly and don't cause any problems? And that the males are not aggressive at all. I hope this is true...I have 7 in my incubator
I snuck out of the coop went got my camera turned it on before I got there to keep quiet .. got back and she was sitting normal roost style... But that isnt the first time she has done that.. they have totally different personalities than the other ones.. actually my EE is the most unfriendly of the bunch..
