This is great information!! Thank you!! Upsetting part is the guy gave me back the roos last night with an incredible story to go along with it. I'm ready to head over to his house with a straight-jacket !!

klf73-you must have a lot of room to make so many separate coops and runs!! If it wasn't so hard to find sitters when we go away (camping and disney) than I would love to do that kinda thing myself!!
what are the appenzeller like? do they get flighty or have to be separate?

I have about 25 or 30 different breeds and I keep most of them in their own pens to keep em pure. Plus I have 4 kinds of turkeys, 4 kinds of ducks, 3 kinds of geese, pheasants, quail, 15 kinds of pigeons, guineas, swans, a goat, 2 horses, 5 cats and 1 dog........It takes about 2 hours to do the feeding each day. There is never a dull moment, always something needing done................
