Leaking nipples on waterer

I have a waterer with the nipples on the bottom (it's a 3.5 gallon bucket) but it keeps leaking. The nipples slowly drip water. How can i fix this?

You'd need to determine whether it's leaking around the threads or from the nipple itself.

Small debris could be holding the ball valve open.

Is this a purchased or DIY waterer?
Sloppily drilled holes or too big of holes could be preventing a tight thread seal.
