chicken eggs.. 1 pipped.. 1 zipping

1 emu egg.. hatching!.. emus are slow though.. so he may be out today.. or tomorrow.. lol.. they like to take their sweet old time



the next emu eggs are due March 3rd and march 11th

congrats to everyone with new babies ! (and pips and zips.. lol)

everyone who has them that I know of says the same thing.. that they are incredibly nosy and goofy.. they get into every thing.. love to chase everything (not out of meanness.. just to see if they can I think.. lol)
There is a local woman who i bought the last egg from.. she said they are her favorites out of all her critters.. she's had them for about 19 years

nothing shiny is safe around them.. so if you love jewelry they would probably not be the best pet..

My baby is fascinated by the dogs.. will walk away from me when he/she sees our lab just to go see what he's doing

in other news..
one of the chicks has hatched.. they are mutts.. this one is either part polish or lakenvelder

Well guess it just took a bit longer for my eggs to hatch. I had seven more pips, all 7 hatched and one had to be culled

However I'm now up to 12 peeping birds and I still have 20 eggs in the bator
