Hi everyone! I recently got a pair of Pekin ducks as new pets for my daughters. But I made the terrible mistake of putting cedar shavings on his bed, just like I saw on TSC. I found out they are toxic like pine, according to what I have read, they are currently breathing heavily and maybe because of that. So, at this moment I do not know what to put on them, they are still at home, I calculate them between 3 and 4 weeks. What base can I use for them?

Pine shaving is very safe for ducks and ducklings. Do you know the temps in your brooder. Pekins especially get over heated much easier than other domestics.
The heat zone is 77 ° f and they can go far enough, they really use the spotlight a little, if they are a little wet or if it is very cold at night.

Hello everyone, I'm still a little restless, yesterday I got straw and also some vitamins for poultry. Now one of the ducks has started to make a noise when breathing, it seems like a small grinding noise, it is when it inspires.
