So I just read the whole thing. Hope you don't mind me jumping in! Mine hatched on March 25th, I have a perfect dozen. So I'm just learning them too. So lucky to have Ravyn as a teacher/mentor/enabler!! lol
Is it possible that she was mated by another drake, prior to you getting them? Maybe she was still carrying his "schtuff"... lol

I take it all back about them not being too noisy. She sure can throw a fit! She doesn't like when I let the others out either she quacks non stop if she can see them. Since her pen is up off the ground I'm not sure why it makes her so mad!
