Appreciate the advice!Howdy, Chris, we're practically neighbors! I'm in Carter County, south of you, down towards Poplar Bluff. The best advice I can give you is build, don't buy, your coop, and build bigger and stouter than you think you're going to need. Chickens are like Lay's potato chips, they're addictive!
Also, chicken wire is only good for keeping chickens IN, it is NOT adequate for keeping raccoons OUT. Enjoy the journey and remember, we're here to help!
'Preciate ya!Hello! Welcome to BYC! Great advice from BigBlueHen53 I would add use 1/2 inch hardware cloth instead of chicken wire. As BigBlueHen said chicken wire will keep chickens in but will not keep predators out! Good luck!![]()
