I'm trying to learn as much as I can because I would like to get into breeding. I would appreciate any comments on my silkie roo...just so I can learn what's good and what's not so good. I believe he is pet quality, but would like to hear specific comments from experienced breeders. He is 7 months old. Thanks guys....sorry no pics of the bottom of his feet, but I tried to show the feathering on them best I could.

I believe that you are right...I would call him a very nice pet quality roo. He appears to be a mixed variety...not really a pure gray or a splash. His comb is a bit redder than is ideal and while it is large, it's not HUGE.

His foot feathering is very nice. He has quite a few "hard feathers" in his tail which, again, is not ideal for silkies.

He does have nice very dark eyes. All in all, a wonderful pet.

ChickensAreSweet - Thank you!

Three Cedars - Great Info! That is exactly what I'm looking for. Many of your comments are things that I thought about him. He won't make it to my breeding pen, but he is a pretty guy and he has produced some cute babies with some nice foot feathering. Although, I know those will probably only be pets...but I had a broody and decided to let her hatch out her babies.
