So...my kids and I have made a little rhyme to help understand, of all things, goose poop! LOL
I see threads all the time of people asking how much and how often they "go" and asking about the smell. So, in case it helps anyone here, here's our little rhyme and the detailed explanation of all we've learned! LOL
"How much poop would a goose Cas poop if a goose Cas just eats grass?"
Answer: Still a lot... BUT...it's FAR less smellier, and also firmer (easier to pick up). It literally comes out 'looking' like it went in, just in...nuggets! LOLOLOL
"How much poop would a goose let you see if a goose just eats his feed?"
Answer: OMG the putrid smell of feed-only poop! It's a sickeningly almost sweet smell and is often, well, for a lack of a better way to put it, squirts.
We had some heavy storming here for 2 days straight and Cas wasn't able to go outside, nor was I able to go out and get him any grass, so he ate his feed. The amount and smell and cleaning involved with a goose on a feed-only diet....omg!
We've also timed it! Yes, that's right. We have timed how long from "in" to "out". With feed-only it's roughly 20 minutes. With grass it's a bit longer, and some times Cas can "hold it" for up to 45 minutes when on grass only. Oh and also, dipping a goose in water leads to an almost instant poop.
Be forewarned! Aim that end away from faces! My kiddo just missed getting a mouthful one time as we lifted Cas from the tub to the towel!
