I am breeding Lionheads, this is my first time seriously breeding rabbits.
I was wondering if there are any expert Lionhead breeders out there
who can teach me what to look for in a Lionhead.

Eventually I would like to show, this requires me to know a thing or two about show quality.
There are no Lionhead breeders in my area so I have been trying to learn as much as I can from reading the standard.
I would really appreciate it if I could post pictures of my rabbits up here and have someone tell me what they think about their quality.
Any help is appreciated!

We recently had an ARBA judge come through and talk to us about Lionheads. You want them to be small, no big lions. The mane is the part we talked about the most. There has to be a noticeable break between the body fur and the top and bottom manes. He favored the shorter ears, I noticed and he didn't like long bodies. That is just one judge but I believe that judges are leaning toward what the standard will be.
That's all I have. Right now there are very few colors "accepted" that they will start out as standard, but I'm hoping they'll expand that soon. We love our colorful lions. My only pedigreed pair are a broken Siamese sable and a blue.
