Chapter Two

The Scent



"I'm hungry!" complained little Ari. "I want a nice juicy horse for dinner tonight!" "Horses are good for dinner." said Ally, patting her stomach.

"I want horse for dinner too!" Said Angel. "I want horse! I want horse!" the wolf pups chanted. "We want horse! We want horse!"

"Ok." said their mother. " I can try to catch a horse for dinner." Sighing, she looked at her mate. "Will you keep an eye on them while I'm gone?"

"Of course." said King. "I'll watch them." "Ok then, I'm off to hunt dinner!" She said.

She padded out of the den. Outside she caught the scent of a herd. A nice big herd. Smiling to herself, she walked quitely towards the horses.
